General Questions:

Why is Duct/Duck Tape so difficult to tear the traditional way?
We love it because it is stronger and stickier than other tapes – but that makes it heavy and difficult to work with. You must make contact to the sticky tape with both hands, each time, for each tear – it's tough! It’s loaded with fibers (little stringy-things) and depending on the tape – that can make tearing even harder!

How did you dream of such a great product like the Tape Wrangler™ 700 & 700S?
Just like you, we LOVE duct tape! We use it all the time and found it difficult to handle and tear. The Tape Wrangler heavy duty tape dispenser is designed to give clean, straight cuts every time and allow one-handed tape cutting.

Please help me settle a bet with my Dad…Is it…DUCT tape? Or DUCK Tape? SO glad you asked! This marvelous sticky stuff was actually invented by the US Military (in Army green – NOT silver!) and used to give a strong, water-proof seal to ammunition boxes. Originally, it was called “DUCK tape”. After the war, civilians were in the midst of a huge building and development trend and they found the Army’s new tape also worked really well for the HVAC projects. Soon, it became silver, and most people started referring to it as “DUCT tape. So…bottom line: BOTH duct and DUCK are correct!

Our team is certified Six Sigma. How do Tape Wrangler packing tape guns work in this environment?
Tape Wrangler was designed to help keep your tape exactly where you want it! In fact, our friends who appreciate the value of precise process LOVE our mounting brackets. You decide exactly where in your process the tape dispenser fits and it will stay right there – thanks to the mounting bracket & hardware we include with each dispenser. Neat, huh?

Will the Tape Wrangler™ fit brightly colored "craft" duct tape?
Yes! We designed the Tape Wrangler™ to be compatible with all kinds of duct tape. In fact, we find that duct tape artists prefer the straight, quick cuts of our Tape Wrangler™ to the old method of a straight edge & a razor blade.

I'm a fan of NASCAR; can Tape Wrangler™ be used on a race track?
We love NASCAR! The Tape Wrangler™ will make quick repairs on the race track even faster! It is designed to accommodate rolls of NASCAR strength tape (200 MPH Tape) in rolls up to 70 yards long!

Hey, I love your bracket, but my wife doesn't want to "see it" in the laundry room – HELP!
Compromise. The Tape Wrangler™ can mount under any solid cabinet or shelf. Mount the bracket inside your cabinet (under a shelf) in your laundry room – out of sight of your wife. Or find an out of the way wall out in the garage, workshop or basement. Once your wife uses it, we believe she'll love it (almost) as much as you do!

These products are light weight & made of plastic…will they hold up?
You bet they will! In fact, we believe our products withstand the rigors of use better than those heavy, awkward, metal & plastic tape dispensers you might be used to.

Where are Tape Wrangler™ products made?
We are proud to say that all Tape Wrangler™ products are made in the United States of America – right here in Michigan. We have patents pending on the products in the U.S. and abroad.
